Tusk and Lewa are delighted to launch a ‘Virtual’ running of the Lewa Safari Marathon – an open challenge for runners around the world to ‘Run Wild’ to raise vital funds for conservation projects and communities across Kenya directly impacted by the Covid-19 crisis. Participants are invited to make a voluntary donation and then choose to run or walk either 5km,10km or 21km in your garden, street, local park, beach or treadmill!  To coincide with this challenge, a section of Wildlife Rangers will run the famous half marathon loop at Lewa accompanied by Tusk’s Director of Programmes, Sarah Watson. These rangers represent the extraordinary men and women who risk their lives daily to protect Africa’s wildlife. You will be able to watch how they do online as they run through one of Africa’s most spectacular wildlife conservancies.
