 Lewa Safari Marathon 2020 Cancelled

The Lewa Safari Marathon and Half Marathon
Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, Kenya

In the wake of the COVID19 pandemic and its devastating global effects, we have come to the difficult, yet necessary, decision to cancel the 2020 Lewa Safari Marathon. The 2020 edition was set to be run on the 27th of June at the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, organised by Tusk and powered by Safaricom PLC and Huawei Kenya. While the cancellation of the marathon is a massive blow to us and all who had hoped to take part, the safety of runners, supporters and local communities amid this global crisis is paramount. Next steps for our participants can be found in the link below.

Run for a Reason

Across Africa, approximately 70 elephants are killed every day. Illegal poaching claims the life of one rhino every 10 hours. At this rate, these iconic species will be gone from the wild within your lifetime.

Join the 1,400 runners who take part in the Lewa Safari Marathon every year.  Your part in this event will raise critical funds for conservation, community development and education programs that are providing hope for the future of Africa’s wildlife.

Together we can make a difference.
